My Goals List (2012 Edition)

“The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don’t define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them.”  - Denis Watley

Once again a new year is upon us and I’m welcoming 2012 with open arms. 2012 is the year of the Dragon and I’m feeling extra excited for everything this year has to offer. I sat down and really thought hard on the most specific goals that should be pursued. This is what I came up with for myself:

My 2012 Goals:

  • Get my 6-pack Abs back/get in the best shape of my life!
  • Build out HookedonHockeyMagazine.com to a fan base of 3000-5000+ daily visitors
  • Improve my Ice Hockey Game (This goes hand in hand in getting into the best shape possible)
  • Hike more 4000 Footers (Including doing my fist ever solo hike too and multi-day hike)
  • At least 12 New & Different types of mini-dates with my girlfriend (1 for each month!)
  • Do/try 1 New & Different thing each month

Below are a few more motivational quotes for setting goals:

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.“  – Stephen A. Brennan

“When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing, then we truly live life.” – Greg Anderson

“In life, as in football, you won’t go far unless you know where the goalposts are.” – Arnold H. Glasgow

“If you’re bored with life — you don’t get up every morning with a burning desire to do things — you don’t have enough goals.” – Lou Holtz

“Goals help focus you on areas in both your personal and professional life that are important and meaningful, rather than being guided by what other people want you to be, do, or accomplish.” – Catherine Pulsifer

“The world makes way for the man who knows where he is going.” – Ralph Waldo Emereson
